This Week...

Dear Families and Children,

I'm excited about the week. We'll be finishing up with explorers in Social Studies and taking a test on Tuesday. In Everyday Math, we're going to be measuring and constructing angles and triangles. (I think it's awesome that our 5th graders will be able to do this!) In Science, we'll be finishing our water conservation posters. In Reading (my groups), we'll be looking at more text features (informational text) and finishing up the Fever 1793 webquest.

Wow! We're going to working hard for the next two days, but we can do it!

Learning to blog...

I certainly wasn't crazy about spending my Saturday in class today. I signed up for this class about using Google in the classroom several weeks ago and didn't realize how tired I'd be when the time came to leave for Bowling Green.

I could have cancelled and stayed in bed, but I'm certainly glad I didn't! I've learned so much, including how to set up this blog. I can't wait to get back to school and use my new toys! What a great class!
